Emma Frost by Mark Brooks on Flickr.This piece was the grail for me at the con. You have to understand, I’ve been trying to get an original from Mark for almost 3 years now. I came close so many times, but it never worked out. I got to know Mark a bit more thanks to the wonders of social media, I came to respect the guy and appreciate his work even more. I came really, really close to getting something from him at SDCC and Dragon*Con earlier this year…but things always came up and he couldn’t get to me. This time, he put me at the top of the list. Imagine how thrilled I was when I saw Mark’s wife Lisa tweet to me telling me that my sketch was done. Worth the wait, and then some. Thanks, Mark and Lisa.
