Namor always keeps it sexy.
Fantastic AVX: VS variant cover by Stuart Immonen. Not sure who inked or colored the cover, though.
Namor and Magneto win, no contest!

My buddy Dewey drew this for me as a holiday gift! Love it so much!
Ah, yes, I can finally post this! This was drawn for the homie Pat, and now that he has it, I can show it to you.
The ridiculously talented Ramon Villalobos did this X-Men commission for me recently. Dude’s going places…
I picked up this amazing piece from Tomm Coker at the San Diego Comic-Con the other week. Emma Frost and Namor, looking all bad-ass.
I’m getting really excited to read Jason Aaron’s upcoming X-Men event, Schism. The book is going to be illustrated by different artists like Carlos Pacheco, Daniel Acuna, Adam Kubert, Frank Cho and Alan Davis. The page you’re seeing here is from the first issue, by Carlos Pacheco. It’s a great page.
There’s a lot of character showing in that second panel. Look at the poses and the facial expressions. The character nuances like Magneto’s helmet. All the information you need is on the page. This is really some great storytelling by Carlos.
Check this book out when it comes out in a month!
It was a time where heroism was truly tested, and the bad guys called the shots…and I loved every minute of it.
As much as I’ve been enjoying ‘The Heroic Age,’ I find myself missing the ‘Dark Reign’ era a lot lately. If you know me well enough, I tend to root for the bad guys more often than not. There are a few that I outright dislike, but guys like Doom, Magneto and Thanos have always been favorites…but that’s beside the point.
The alliance formed by the Cabal fascinated me, because it was a mix of volatile personalities that you just couldn’t picture to put together to begin with. You have a god like Loki dallying with mortals, trying to stir up trouble. You have Doom, who thinks he’s above all these people, but got involved after a rather unfortunate set of circumstances. The Hood, who was on the rise. Then we have Emma Frost and Namor, who are both reformed ‘villains’ but have joined to look out for their people’s interests. Then there’s Osborn, who put this all together.
Part of the fun was seeing these six in a room together and scheming. Another enjoyable aspect of this is the fact that you KNEW it won’t last, and waiting to see it all implode was part of the fun.
With all that said, I’ve separated all my books from the Dark Reign era, in preparation of rereading the entire year’s worth of stories. Everything from Secret Invasion: Dark Reign and Dark Avengers # 1, to Utopia, to the Siege Aftermath books is sitting here, ready for another go around.
This is going to be good.
